About Special Purpose Packaging

Description

Special purpose packaging is a carefully designed and high-quality print product for niche needs and presentable merchandising. Such packaging is designed not only for functionality, but also to create a strong visual impression.

These packages are particularly relevant when it is necessary to highlight the uniqueness of a product or to enhance its value through visual expression. They are often used for collectibles, limited edition products, exhibitions or displays. Packaging can be customized to fit a specific object or exhibit.

Purpose & Use

Special-purpose packaging is designed to meet the unique needs of representation, display or storage of valuable objects. One of their main uses is as display and exhibition packaging, which helps to present a product in a visually appealing way during public events. Such packaging often has an opening structure, an internal holder or a special arrangement that allows the product to be visible but at the same time – protected.

Another important segment – collectible boxes. These are designed for limited edition publications, coins, cards, artwork, souvenirs and other valuable collectibles. These boxes not only protect the contents, but also create a sense of exclusivity and increase the perception of collectible value.

Product Variants

Special purpose packaging is divided into several main variants:

Exhibit/exhibition packaging – designed to be a visual element of an exhibition. They may have windows, design solutions for display, additional printed product information. Most commonly used at corporate events, trade fairs, art exhibitions.

Collection boxes – are designed for the storage and presentation of valuable or limited edition objects. They can be made of thicker cardboard or laminated decorative paper, with internal inserts or customised moulding to suit the specific item. Can be personalised with a logo or individual design.

Pricing & Order Quantities

The production of special purpose packagins is available for both small and large orders, from 1 unit to several thousand copies. The larger the order quantity, the lower the unit price. The price also depends on the choice of paper, size, printing technique and additional finishing options.

Development

Packaging development is a complex but smoothly managed process, with each step tailored to the specific needs of the client. It all starts with a consultation and a detailed needs analysis. We delve into the project's purpose, brand identity, target audience and budget - helping to clearly define tasks and move towards the goal in a targeted manner.

Based on the information gathered, we develop concepts - from sketches to precise 3D visualisations. Once the best solution has been selected, our designers prepare technical drawings and produce a real prototype, which allows us to assess both aesthetics and functionality. Production starts only when the solution fully meets the client's expectations. We use different types of cardboard - from graphic to corrugated - to ensure a sustainable, robust construction. Finally, we take care of safe delivery and our team is always ready to help after the project - if corrections or additional production are needed.

Sustainability

Special purpose packaging is produced according to environmentally friendly principles. We use FSC-certified paper, which ensures that the raw materials come from responsibly managed forests. We also use eco-friendly printing techniques that reduce our environmental impact.
